To learn more about exam registration, authorization, and results, please select your exam from the choices below.

Fundamentals exams

The following information applies to all FE and FS applicants.

Eligibility

The Puerto Rico board requires examinees to complete the NCEES exam registration process prior to submitting an application with Professional Credential Services and scheduling an exam. Examinees should contact Professional Credential Services for details.

Results

Exam results for the computer-based FE and FS exams are typically available within 7–10 business days. Examinees will receive an email notification from NCEES with instructions to view their results in their MyNCEES account. Results will include a link to your licensing board for additional state-specific information or instructions as appropriate.

All results are reported as pass or fail. If you fail the examination, you will receive a diagnostic report showing your performance for each of the major topics covered on the exam.

Cancellations and refunds

Refer to the section on computer-based exams in the NCEES Examinee Guide for information about cancellations, refunds, and rescheduling.

Professional exams

The following information applies to PE, PS, and SE examinees.

How do I register?

First-time applicants—create an account with My NCEES to select your exam type and site (deadline: August 28, 2014). After registering with NCEES, submit a completed application (found on the PCS website), supporting documents, and fee to PCS by the first-time applicant deadline.

Repeat applicants—each time you plan to sit for an exam, you must register with NCEES. Select your exam type and site through your MyNCEES account (deadline: August 28, 2014). After registering with NCEES, board-approved applicants should schedule the exam with PCS and pay the exam fee to PCS by the PCS scheduling deadline.

Exam type, discipline, module, and/or site cannot be changed after the NCEES registration deadline. PCS cannot make any exceptions. Visit the PCS website for more information.

Exam authorization

NCEES will email you 2–3 weeks before the exam with a link to download and print your exam authorization notice. Read it carefully. You will be required to present this document along with a valid, government-issued photo ID upon arrival at the exam site. Your exam authorization notice will include the exam location, start time, seat assignment, and any parking information.

Results

When results have been released (typically 8–10 weeks after the exam) and validated, NCEES will send an email informing you that your result can be accessed through your MyNCEES account.

All results are reported as pass or fail. If you fail the examination, you will receive a diagnostic report showing your performance for each of the major topics covered on the exam.
