South Carolina exam registration

How do I register?

FE undergraduate applicants from SC schools: Eligible senior students will receive instructions from the schools regarding the online application process with the board (deadline August 30). After the board has notified you of your approval, register online with NCEES (deadline: September 5, 2013) to reserve your seat for the exam.

Repeat examinees: Contact the South Carolina board (email) by August 30 if you plan to take an October 2013 exam. Your request should include your name, date of birth, the last 5 digits of your Social Security number and current mailing address. After the board has notified you of your approval, register online with NCEES (deadline: September 5, 2013) to reserve your seat for the exam.

All other examinees: You must first apply to the South Carolina Board for approval to sit for the exam in South Carolina (deadline: December 15 for the April 2013 exams, June 15 for the October 2013 exams). Visit the board’s website for instructions on the approval process. After the board has notified you of your approval, register online with NCEES (deadline: September 5, 2013) to reserve your seat for the exam.

Exam authorization

NCEES will email you 2–3 weeks before the exam with a link to download and print your exam authorization notice. Read it carefully. You will be required to present this document along with a valid, government-issued photo ID upon arrival at the exam site.

Results

When results have been released to the South Carolina board (8–10 weeks after the exam) and validated, NCEES will send an email informing FE and PE candidates that their results can be accessed through My NCEES.

The South Carolina board will notify FS and PS candidates of their results.
