Texas engineering exam registration

How do I register?

FE candidates: register online with NCEES (deadline: September 5, 2013).
You do not need to apply for approval to take the FE exam in Texas if you are (1) an undergraduate student enrolled in a degree program in Texas who is within two full-time regular semesters of graduating or (2) a resident of Texas who has not passed the FE exam while in college and who can demonstrate that you have met the educational requirements for a P.E. license. (Board Rule §133.65)

PE candidates: You must first apply to the Texas board for approval to sit for the exam in Texas (deadline: July 12, 2013, for the October 2013 exam). Visit the board’s website for instructions on the approval process. After the board has notified you of your approval, register online with NCEES (deadline: September 5, 2013) to reserve your seat for the exam.

Exam authorization

NCEES will email you 2–3 weeks before the exam with a link to download and print your exam authorization notice. Read it carefully. You will be required to present this document along with a valid, government-issued photo ID upon arrival at the exam site.

Results

When results have been released to the Texas board (8–10 weeks after the exam) and validated, NCEES will send an email informing you that your result can be accessed through your My NCEES account.
