To learn more about exam registration, authorization, and results, please select your exam from the choices below.
Pencil-and-paper exams (held October 2013)
NCEES releases exam results to the Texas surveying board 8–10 weeks after the exam date. The board will then notify you of your exam results.
In 2014, the FE and FS exams will transition to computer-based testing (CBT). These exams will no longer be offered in pencil-and-paper format. Registration for the CBT exams opens on November 4, 2013. Expand the section below for more information.
Computer-based exams (beginning January 2014)
The following information applies to all FS applicants.
The Texas surveying board requires examinees to submit an application and/or pay an application fee to the board prior to registering with NCEES and scheduling an exam. Examinees should contact the board directly for details.
Exam results for the computer-based FS exam are typically available within 7–10 business days. Examinees will receive an email notification from NCEES with instructions to view their results in their My NCEES account. Results will include a link to your licensing board for additional state-specific information or instructions as appropriate.
The Texas surveying board does not offer the NCEES PS exam. You will take a state exam to become licensed. Contact the board for more information.
