Texas surveying exam registration

To learn more about exam registration, authorization, and results, please select your exam from the choices below.

Fundamentals exams
The following information applies to all FS applicants.

The Texas surveying board requires examinees to submit an application and/or pay an application fee to the board prior to registering with NCEES and scheduling an exam. Examinees should contact the board directly for details.

Exam results for the computer-based FS exam are typically available within 7–10 business days. Examinees will receive an email notification from NCEES with instructions to view their results in their MyNCEES account. Results will include a link to your licensing board for additional state-specific information or instructions as appropriate.

All results are reported as pass or fail. If you fail the examination, you will receive a diagnostic report showing your performance for each of the major topics covered on the exam.

Cancellations and refunds

Refer to the section on computer-based exams in the NCEES Examinee Guide for information about cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, and discipline changes.
Professional exam
The Texas surveying board does not offer the NCEES PS exam. You will take a state exam to become licensed. Contact the board for more information.
