Records
An NCEES record is for licensed engineers and surveyors who need to practice in multiple states. It provides a centralized means of storing and transmitting materials used in the comity licensure process.

Why establish a record?
Establishing an NCEES record is the most efficient way to attain multistate licensure. Once you have established a record with NCEES, you will have most—if not all—of the materials you need to apply for comity licensure in additional states and territories.
When you have a record on file, NCEES can electronically submit your materials directly to the state licensing board on your behalf each time you apply for licensure. For licensees who need to practice in multiple states, this saves time and makes the application process to the states much less complicated.
