NCEES Examinees with Disabilities Guide

The NCEES examination program provides reasonable and appropriate accommodations for individuals with documented disabilities within the meaning of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as amended. Under ADA, a disability is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits an individual’s ability to perform one or more major life activities, as compared with most people in the general population.

The following information is provided to assist in the process of documenting a request for exam accommodations. If you are requesting exam accommodations, share these guidelines with your evaluator, therapist, treating physician, etc., so that appropriate documentation can be assembled to support the request for exam accommodations.
