Mission Statement

The mission of the Vincennes University Surveying Technology program is to prepare students with the technical skills necessary to enter careers in land surveying, engineering, mapping or other related areas. Graduates from the program will be equipped and prepared to work as highly trained technicians with the ability to adapt and work with newly emerging technology in surveying applications. Knowledge and skills are developed by applying surveying concepts and theories through real-world projects.

How will your program use the prize money to engage your students with other professionals, introduce them to both historical and new technology, and promote licensure?

Our program plans to use the money to help fund student travel to surveying conferences and student competitions, supplement the program equipment and software inventory, and host workshops and events to encourage more young people to go into surveying.
