NCEES Foundation 2025–26 funding cycle now open

The NCEES Foundation is pleased to announce that the 2025–26 funding cycle is now open.

Applicants may begin submitting letters of inquiry on October 1, 2025, through February 1, 2026.

Priority is given to proposals that demonstrate a clear connection to advancing engineering and surveying licensure to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Advancing licensure can be done by promoting the value of engineering and surveying licensure, building a pipeline of future engineers and surveyors at the K-12 level, and keeping current engineering and surveying students enrolled and successful in their respective programs.

2025–26 NCEES Foundation funding cycle timeline

  • Applicants must submit a letter of inquiry between October 1 and February 1.
  • Invitations to submit a full proposal will be issued on April 1.
  • Full proposals must be submitted by May 1.
  • Funding will be formally announced in August.
  • Funds will be distributed in mid-September.

The executive secretary of Professional Land Surveyors of Oregon, an NCEES Foundation funding recipient, Aimee McAuliffe, shared, “The NCEES Foundation grant is an incredible opportunity for organizations dedicated to workforce development. It provides the resources to create impactful, sustainable programs that can support diverse talent and build a stronger future workforce. This is especially important for states with smaller populations—and, naturally, smaller membership numbers—like Oregon. Financial support from a trusted organization like NCEES will help us reach some important long-term goals.”

Summaries of the 2024–25 funded projects can be found at ncees.org/foundation/funded-recipients. Award funding for each organization in 2024-25 ranged from $5,000–$100,000. There are no restrictions on how much funding can be requested by organizations each year.
