NCEES introduces new PE Structural practice exams

New PE Structural practice exams provide a more comprehensive, exam-representative preparation experience for the updated PE Structural exam specifications

NCEES is introducing new PE Structural practice exams designed to give examinees a more comprehensive resource for preparing for the PE Structural exam. For the first time since the exam transitioned to computer-based testing (CBT), the practice exams will be representative of a full exam and will reflect the updated exam specifications taking effect in April 2027.

“Preparing for the PE Structural exam requires more than reviewing technical concepts. Examinees also benefit from practicing how they will apply their knowledge across a full range of exam content,” said NCEES Chief Officer of Examinations Lehmon Dekle, P.E. “These new practice exams provide a much more comprehensive resource for assessing readiness, identifying areas for additional study, and preparing for the exam experience.”

More practice. More scenarios. More opportunity to prepare.

Prepare for your exam
The new practice exams are designed specifically around the updated PE Structural exam specifications taking effect in April 2027. By working through a practice exam that is representative of a full exam, examinees can gain a better understanding of the scope of content they should be prepared to encounter.

The expanded content is all new and allows examinees to work through a greater variety of questions and scenarios, identify areas that may require additional study, and focus their preparation where it is needed most.
