NCEES publishes new version of FE Reference Handbook

The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) has published an updated version of the ninth edition of the FE Reference Handbook. The handbook was revised primarily to include new OSHA labeling standards in the Safety section. This new version (9.3) will be supplied electronically to FE examinees during the exam beginning in July 2015. As with the previous version, it will be displayed on the exam monitor as a searchable handbook.

“We want to make sure that FE examinees know about the change now so that they can use this edition when preparing for the exam,’ explained NCEES Director of Exam Services Tim Miller, P.E. “We encourage them to become familiar with the current version prior to taking the computer-based exam.”

The handbook can be downloaded free of charge. Bound copies can also be purchased online.
