What are your career goals?
I would like to earn my PE after college and either work as a design engineer or conduct research.
Do you have any areas of interest specific to your discipline?
I am interested in Materials Science, but no specific topic as of yet. I am still learning and exploring different possibilities.
What is one piece of advice you have for fellow engineering students?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Professors are there to help you learn, and 9 times out of 10 you aren’t the only one who is confused.
What has been your favorite engineering course and why?
I liked Materials Science, it goes hand in hand with design. If you don’t know the properties of your materials you cannot accurately create a product from them that will be suitable for the job.
Which clubs, campus organizations, and activities do you participate in?
Professional Engineers of North Carolina/National Society of Professional Engineers (PENC/NSPE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Campbell Honors Program Mentor, Engineering Peer Tutor, Recreational Volleyball
What are you most looking forward to gaining from being an FE ambassador?
I am looking forward to gaining connections with other ambassadors and professionals in the field!
