What are your career goals?
My goal is to become a faculty member in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department while also managing my own engineering firm. I am passionate about combining academic research with practical engineering applications to make a meaningful impact.
Do you have any areas of interest specific to your discipline?
Yes, my research interests lie in Pavement Preservation, Pavement Design, and Construction. I am particularly drawn to improving infrastructure durability and optimizing maintenance strategies for long-term performance.
What is one piece of advice you have for fellow engineering students?
Love what you learn. Some courses may seem dull at first, but if you try to see them through a practical lens and create relatable examples for yourself, they become much easier to understand and more enjoyable to study.
What has been your favorite engineering course and why?
Highway Engineering has been my favorite course so far. It emphasized understanding over memorization and involved several hands-on capstone projects. I appreciated how it encouraged critical thinking rather than focusing solely on grades.
Which clubs, campus organizations, and activities do you participate in?
What are you most looking forward to gaining from being an FE ambassador?
I’m looking forward to building lasting connections with fellow students and faculty, and reestablishing strong social capital through meaningful collaboration and engagement.
