Wilson begins term as NCEES president

Samuel Wilson, DBA, P.E., began his term as 2026–27 NCEES president at the conclusion of the organization’s annual meeting, held August 18–21 in Henderson, Nevada.

A resident of the District of Columbia, Wilson is a member of the District of Columbia Board of Professional Engineering. He replaces outgoing president Elizabeth Beckett, P.E., of Alaska, who will remain on the NCEES board of directors as immediate past president.

At the annual meeting, Council delegates elected Jason Suelter, P.E., S.E., of Nebraska, as president-elect for the 2026–27 term. Suelter will serve as NCEES president in 2027–28.

NCEES welcomed Kelly Fedele, P.E., P.S., of Michigan; James Hollandsworth, P.E., P.S., of Michigan; and Scott Sayles, P.E., of Arizona, to its board of directors as well. Fedele will serve a three-year term as treasurer, and Hollandsworth and Sayles will serve two-year terms as vice presidents of the Central Zone and Western Zone, respectively.

Rounding out the board of directors are two members serving second years of their terms. Azuanuka (Azu) Etoniru, P.E., P.L.S., of Massachusetts, returns as Northeast Zone vice president, and Chimin (Jimmy) Chao, P.E., of South Carolina, returns as Southern Zone vice president.
